Last week i "officially" entered the 3rd trimester! only 13 weeks left. All we really have left to do is find and buy a crib and add things to our registries...okay, add everything. :)
Last week we had our babymoon to Cabo san Lucas. Due to the 16" of snow in Madison, it was a lot shorter than we anticipated :( We were supposed to leave on Wed, and all flights out of Madison in the morning got cancelled. When we got rebooked, there was a problem with the final leg of our trip - yep, the one that would get us to Cabo. So, we ended up getting stranded in Phoenix. Luckily, the airline paid for our hotel room, and we were able to go to supper with Steve's aunt, uncle and cousin. We finally landed in Cabo on Friday, and got to our resort around 3. Just enough time to lay by the pool for a few hours and then grab something to eat. Saturday we spent all day by the pool and had a nice meal, then Sunday we were back home!
Here is a picture at 27 weeks, 2 days, poolside.
Yesterday I had my 5th doctor's appointment (and probably the last i'll try to count). The baby is measuring right at 28 weeks and had a heartbeat of 145. While the doctor was measuring, she said I'm all baby - so that means it's okay to keep on the sweets diet, right? :)
I also had to take the glucose test yesterday. I passed with flying colors - 130, with a range of 70-140 being acceptable. I also made the rest of my appointments - including one a week after the due date...just in case :)
We're starting to see the baby move more and more, it's pretty exciting and entertaining. Now i'm just waiting to get a kick in the ribs, or for wrigley to feel it. She's definitely been more cuddly lately, so she spends a lot of time on my belly. The Braxton Hicks are also getting to be more common - my tummy is hard right now. They are feeling more strange, as the whole uterus starts to tighten, instead of just a small spot, but as long as there is no pain, I'm okay with them.
The next appt is next year - so stay tuned :)
